but never conquered the vast expanse

of their own emptiness...

I pity those who heard but never listened

to the muted cries of their own

loneliness...

I pity those who thought

but never wondered about the loss

that is within themselves...

I pity those who merely existed

but never truly lived...

Those who are former wanted

but have no love to give.
